Much of Paul's life has been spent in the deserts, forests and canyons of Arizona, Utah and California - and to some extent Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. He has become totally curious and fascinated by the variety of southwestern landscapes and cultures.

He was introduced to the world of art by his Mother, who not only taught art in grade school and high school, but produced many fine paintings and sculptures. Her influence on him gave him a great appreciation for art of all kinds. Attending museums, fairs, musical performances and other cultural programs was a way of life in the Kuhn family home.

Paul's parents loved the outdoors and he learned at a young age about the beauty and the joys of nature. Hiking became a favorite pastime, constantly reafirming that there is beauty all around - in the mountains, forests, deserts, canyons; in the birds, insects, animals, flowers, rocks, streams (just the beginning of a long list). He has also found that towns and cities have their places of character and beauty.

Paul loves looking at pictures. With his first camera, in his early 20's, he discovered the added joy of taking photographs and then sharing them with others.

Today Paul has well over 25,000 images in his stock photo collection, covering a wide range of subjects - from scenics and landscapes to people, places, events and things. Paul's pictures have been published in Arizona Highways, Farm & Ranch Living, Utah Holiday Travel Guide, Nevada Magazine, St George Magazine, Campus Life, Referee, Utah Travel Guide, Spectrum Church Life, Mountain West, Best Western Travel Guide, Beehive Health Review, Utah Film Development publications, and in several newspapers (as far away as Japan).

His photographs have been used in commercial advertising, post cards, photography manuals, photo decor, catalogs, flyers, brochures, logos, sales sheets, calendars, business cards, and on T-shirts. He has also provided the still photography for movie productions.

Of it all, by far the greatest satisfaction and joy for Paul comes from sharing his pictures with others.
